Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 music and podcast apps in Germany showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of Spotify - Music and Podcasts, Shazam: Find Music & Concerts, Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts, Musica XM Unlimited Streaming, and YouTube Music.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts had a significant presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 91K in late March. Weekly revenue saw fluctuations, starting at approximately $17K in January and ending the quarter at around $13K. Active users remained stable, averaging around 12M throughout the quarter.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained a steady download rate, with weekly figures hovering around 44K to 55K. Weekly active users experienced a slight decline from approximately 3M at the beginning of the quarter to around 2.6M by the end of March.
